NOTICE

Water Line Flushing Begins
September 15, 2014

MABL crews will begin flushing the water lines as part of distribution system routine maintenance.

DURING FLUSHING HOURS,
RESTRICT WATER USAGE WHEN THE CREWS ARE FLUSHING IN YOUR
LOCAL AREA
TO AVOID DRAWING THE TURBID WATER INTO YOUR HOME/BUSINESS

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Check FLUSHING SCHEDULE to see when the crew is scheduled to be in your area
**Store extra water for cooking & daily activities
**Do laundry & take showers in the evening
**Read more details on the "Water Quality" page
**Call the office if you have any questions

Flushing will be conducted daily and should be complete in about 8 weeks. Flushing the water lines on a routine basis removes sediment from the water distribution lines and keeps the entire distribution system refreshed.

Customers in the areas being flushed will notice discoloration of the water and should not be alarmed. If you experience dirty water, it may be necessary to let your water run for a short time until it is clear.

Detailed information about hydrant flushing, weekly schedules by specific areas and frequently asked questions can be viewed on the "Water Quality" page.
